Worm Studio's First 30 Days - Performance, Visibility Results and Analysis

Thirty days in, Google and ChatGPT both know who Worm Studio is, but neither recommends us as a preferred agency yet

First 30 days

If you have been following along with our SEO/GEO/AEO experimentation case study, you may have seen our intermediary blog post ‘Worm Studio’s First Month: New Articles, a Founder Page, and What’s Next’ - where we discussed the addition of a founder’s page, technical blog posts and what we were hoping to see at the 30 day milestone.

Unsurprisingly, traffic has been relatively low, with only 2-3 page visits per week (most likely us or people we know), but the experiment continues regardless.

Worm Studio on Google

The first thing we rechecked, and was pleased to see, was the search term ‘Worm Studio’ on Google. Pleasingly, it came back with a detailed answer cited with information directly from this website. So a big win.

Google's top result for 'Worm Studio' Google now supplies a detailed response to ‘Worm Studio’ with founder information, services, pricing and core-focus.

“Who is Worm Studio?”

Next, we’re looking at the prompt ‘Who is Worm Studio?’ on ChatGPT, last time, we weren’t recognised at all, and several other companies with similar names were cited. Let’s see if that’s changed over the last 30 days.

ChatGPT's answer to the prompt 'Who is Worm Studio?' We are now appearing as the top (and only) company for the term ‘Who is Worm Studio?’

Success! We are now appearing as the top, and only company when searching ChatGPT, which is fantastic from a brand perspective. Now that ChatGPT and Google both have clear, detailed information about the company, we have a better foundation for appearing in more related searches.

“Who can help with AI search optimisation – UK agencies?”

Looking at some of the harder long-tail prompts, we still aren’t being cited as one of the agencies that ChatGPT would recommend. This isn’t surprising at all. These prompts are some of the hardest ones to go after in the industry, and although we’re likely not to be featured in this answer within the short-term, it gives us a direct list of competitors that we can research and learn from how they are getting cited.

“Good SEO/GEO agency UK?”

Similar to the “Who can help with AI search optimisation” prompt, this prompt is one of the hardest to go for, and again after only 30 days of content, Worm Studio isn’t cited in the recommended agencies list. Again, this gives us a clear list of competitors to learn from.

What happens next

The first 30 days offered a mixed bag of results. The good news was the brand Worm Studio is now appearing with clear and correct information on both Google and ChatGPT. We will continue to monitor our keyword visibility, website traffic and referrer traffic. We will be publishing two new technical blog articles - with one looking at the question ‘Where Does Your Audience Actually Search?’ looking at identifying your target audience, investigating that demographics search preferences.

Summary

All in all it was a good month, the content writing has been easy to manage, with some articles coming naturally, and it is excellent that Google and ChatGPT now know who we are.
